{GS} Biography
This is a summarized bio of the Hip-Hop group “Da Goonie Boyz aka Goon Squad“. Young Preeech (Chris Bryant), D.P. (Onaje Williams), and C Gutta (Clarence Hawkins) make up the musical components of the group. While Wolfman (Tyrone Whitehurts) the forth member of the group acts more as “Hype-man“ for the group, but mainly he‘s more behind the scenes. Handling graphic design works, pictures/video productions, and also assists with promotions with the group. Now what got us started/pushed us to want to make music was what started out as a shared deep love and passion for music. Which eventually grew into wanting to make our own. And because we are all very close and been through so much together as a group, we felt it only be right that we all go in on it together. Yp, Gutta, and Wolfman are all 20-somethings in age, while D.P. is the youngest still in his teens (18). Yp was born (Christopher Bryant) in Norfolk, Va. Sept. 10, 1985 but was raised mostly in "The Glass City" of Toledo, Oh. Yp is also the eldest of his mother’s 6 children (who live in Toledo, Oh.). Wolfman (Tyrone Whitehurst) is Virginia Born and Breed. Wolfman is also the eldest of his mother’s 2 children ( who live in Virginia). C-Gutta (Clarence Hawkins) was born in Philadelphia; Penn. but grew up a lot of his life in Virginia. Gutta also is his mother’s eldest child. He has a younger brother back home in Philly. D.P. (Onaje Williams) was born on the Southside of Jamaica, Queens, New York but also grew up a lot of his life here in Virginia. He is Yp’s younger cousin, but his mother‘s only child. When it comes to the music YP handles the production and recording work. Each member is also the author's of their own words (There isn’t any ghostwriting over here). As the Goonies go through their creative process they like to keep the music as real and relatable as possible. They speak on the things they've experienced, learned, and have been taught throughout their lives. They believe in the code of the streets, and maintaining yourself as a person, and keeping God first in all they do. Unfortunately right now the group is dealing with the incarceration of their good friend and member C Gutta. So with heavy hearts the rest of group vowed to continue their push for greatness. And that is what they've done and continue to do.
